I think you need to add the following discussion groups
Goergia recently East Timor Tamil Tigers in Sri lanka Aden and radfan Malaya Cyprus Suez canal
Borneo Moa Moa Kenya Falklands Sierra loene
forgive me if I have duplicated any already on the forum I'm on a roll

isn't the case that every section has its own "wargaming area"? I see that there is only in African Wars and Vietnam.

Though I didn't "game it" before it seems like the modern period has reached the point where its a category on it own now rather than being lump in with World War 2. Earlier this year I tried to make a list of major conflicts since 1960, i.e. those with more than 1 country involved and with major international impact and I came with this list: 1. The '67 Middle East War 2. '73 Middle East War 3. Congo Civil war(s) 4. Angolan Civil War 5. Lebanese Civil War 6. Biafran Civil War 7. Yemen Civil War 8. Iran-Iraq War 9. Vietnam War 10. Gulf War 11. Soviet-Afghan War 12. Current Afghan War 13. Bosnian Civil War 14. Chechenya War 15. Current Iraq War 16. Cambodian Civil War 17. Pakistan-Indian Wars

in my opinion, dividing the forum into too many sections doesn't help the discussion (at the moment). We are few at the moment and probably a general discussion on what kind of modern do you play? Which scale? Which rules? ecc. would help to give life to the forum. I mean how many are we? How many of us can discuss about the Biafran war?

I'm with Dadiepiombo on this one - whilst I think its great to have such a spread of topics covered, it may be slightly over ambitious to begin with, and could scare people off (Empty forum boards and all that!)
I'd almost be tempted to restructure things, so that they aren't broken down specifically into period subsection, but are some what more general (I.e. African Figure gallery, African Historical details, African Terrain) and then ask that people put details of the combat/period in the subject line of their post (I.e. Rhodesia - Grey Scouts WiP, or 80's Afghan Mujahadeen Orbats, etc) Wich might well get people to look at stuff outside their niche?
Also, a group discussion area for general banter/discussion would be nice -it gives forums a 'feel' and even if most members don't spend time there you will start to build up a few regulars who do... (It also gives folks somewhere to say "Hi I'm Xander, I play 28mm Moder-ish Africa using fictonal settings, and I keep meaning to collect Vietnam")
Just my thoughts...
